Hi! It's me Summer Renay
I am a young, thirty-something, introverted, single mom learning to love who I am, all while focusing on who I want to become. Over the last 7+ years, I have found it difficult to accept who I see starring back at me. I am a beautiful, intelligent, college educated, loving, kind, compassionate young woman who loves giving back to the culture and the community. All the greatness in me is overshadowed and buried deep within the 'unpretty' layers of who I (currently) am. My emotional, (often) self- sabotaging, unconscious efforts to push people away hold me back from my true potential, holding me back from true success, true love and true happiness.
My hope is to tell my story and offer a safe space for young Black & Brown girls to be inspired by as well as to provide resources to enhance their lives and their individual journeys to success. I will use my platform as a Black Blogger to reach as many young Black girls (teens & young adults) as I can.
